This attitude even extended to humans, as evidenced by him being overjoyed when Frisk is willing to be friends with him in spite of feeling obliged to catch them before. Though he is at first obsessed with capturing a human and accomplish his dream of becoming a Royal Guard, he truly cares about those around him, especially those who are willing to talk to him and just want to be friends with him. Papyrus is eccentric, cranky, childish, flamboyant, naive, self-absorbed, yet kind, and initially appears to have an inflated ego. He wears a custom-made costume known as his "battle body", which is made up of a white torso piece with various golden trims (and embroidered with a symbol that very heavily resembles that of the Starman from the Mother series), a rough red scarf or cloth around his neck, red gloves (trimmed with gold), blue briefs with a golden belt, and long red boots.
His mouth is in a smile shape most of the time and his eyes are pupil-less, resembling vertical slits with his expressions being formed mostly by his skeletal pseudo-brows. Papyrus is a tall, perhaps anatomically inaccurate skeleton with a skull shaped in a more straight and geometrical structure (in contrast to his brother's more rounded skull). Papyrus makes his home in the city of Snowdin. In his first appearance, Papyrus originally wanted to capture Frisk, but, if they spare him, the will become friends with them. He is a skeleton and the brother of Sans.
He is also a mentioned character in the alternate-universe spin-off Deltarune, and might appear in a future chapter. Papyrus, called the Great Papyrus by himself, is the deuteragonist of Undertale, being a major character in the Neutral Route (with his role depending on the ending) and the Genocide Route, and the deuteragonist of the True Pacifist Route. ~ Papyrus encourages Frisk while Flowey captured them. THAT'S RIGHT, HUMAN! YOU CAN WIN!! JUST DO WHAT I, WOULD DO.BELIEVE IN YOU!!! ~ Papyrus tries to redeem Frisk during the Genocide Route
